Turmeric For Skin: What It Does
Written by: The Curcia Team

Turmeric is the golden root many of us grew up seeing in kitchens and in family skincare rituals. It's the first ingredient we built Curcia around.
Why turmeric
Turmeric gets its colour from curcumin. It has been used in skincare for generations to bring a warm, brighter look to skin, and it's known as a soothing ingredient, which matters when you're looking after skin that marks easily.
Why it works well in a bar
Pure turmeric powder on its own can stain and can be hard to use day to day. In a bar, it's blended with ingredients that make it easy to use every day:
- Kojic acid to help even the look of skin tone.
- Raw honey to help skin hold on to moisture.
- Vitamin C for a brighter-looking finish.
How to use it
Wet your skin, lather the bar between your hands and massage it onto your face or body for about 60 seconds, then rinse well. Use it morning and night and follow with moisturiser. Patch test first, and use SPF during the day.
